Rather than ask for top-of-the-line appliances or a built-in security system, negotiate a 3-2-1 buydown, a six-month moratorium on monthly payments, or even sweat equity (see Secret 53) to help offset your down payment. You can negotiate your best incentives from builders when mortgage market interest rates head up and or the inventory of unsold new homes begins to pile up.

Resident also agrees that any vehicles found parked on unpaved areas may be towed away at the Resident's expense.
