Unregulated Mortgage Industry becomes Regulated

Yesterday my family and I went out for breakfast at one of our favorite restaurants. While there, we came in contact with a friend we had not seen in a long time. This friend and I began talking about the mortgage industry primarily because she was sharing with me that her daugther is a realtor. Then another of her friends joined us and begin sharing how her son was having some bad luck. He had perfect credit, but then lost his job, was collecting unemployment and was about to lose his home. It was sad to hear this and a very common story these days. I explained to the ladies how up until yesterday the mortgage industry in Colorado was not regulated. They did not even know.  Once I began sharing information with them, they began taking notes. It was good seeing them but sad to see how much basic information they did not know.
