Virtual Book Tour Discusses Mortgages

Today my partner and I discussed purchasing a house during our Virtuous Woman Virtual Book Tour. This day was dedicated to sharing with our attendees about purchasing a house and obtaining a mortgage from a consumers perspective. We shared with them the importance of doing their due diligence and reviewing all paperwork, researching the different mortgage brokers, bankers and lenders. It is all about exercising caution when purchasing a home and being well informed. What was a nice surprise was that one of the women that came today is married to a mortgage broker. We did not know this up front and it would not have made a difference, but she appreciated the consumers perspective. We stressed the different associations that could be contacted when seeking a mortgage broker or lender. We also talked about mortgage fraud and what to look out for when handling your paperwork. I must say, it was a very good conference today. Participation was high and the listeners walked away with answers to a lot of questions.
