I imagine in the mortgage industry the subject of a paperless environment will come up many times. Sure there are professions that can become paperless, however I do not believe the mortgage industry will be one of them. In my opinion, if the mortgage industry were to become paperless, there would be an increase in fraud because the numbers can be digitally manipulated. You need the documentation to protect yourself in the mortgage industry.
