
As I was sharing the different ways to market, I thought about a marketing contest. If you are a mortgage broker, you could do a contest targeting your previous clients to send your referrals. The largest number of referrals from one client receives a percentage of commissions. If you are a mortgage lender you could do a contest that targets every customer. The customer that comes up with a marketing idea woudl get free checking for a year. If you are a mortgage consultant, you could do a contest with a local community college and their marketing class. More than likely the class would be divided into certain groups. The group that comes up with the best marketing plan could receive a couple of accolades such as recognition, a check for a certain amount that goes towards purchasing their books at college or something of that nature. Regardless of what type of contest you do, be sure to acknowledge all the participants and the winner.
