It has been a busy morning in our household discussing the real estate market and people in the industry. I was sharing with my husband about my interview. He shared with me about some of our friends that chosen a pre-existing house that they were going to put a contract on. Our friends’ realtor, had an inspector come out to inspect the home. Thank goodness for ethical inspectors. The inspector stated there were issues with the roof, the heating unit and several other items that needed to be repaired. The house was not up to code and would not sell. The realtor contacted the investors, who in turn said they would not get the home up to code. They would patch this and that but the overall responsibility would end up being our friends if they bought the house. Can you imagine an investor saying we are not going to fix it, so what??? Could they potentially end up with a different inspector that is not concerned about the faults and just pad his pocket. Who is going to buy this house?
