There is a lot going on in the mortgage industry in the United States, some good and some bad. There has been a lot of mergers in the mortgage industry as well as some companies have gone out of business. Regardless, companies have to make a move that will sustain them through the storms in the market. Seems as if that is what Lehman Brothers is about to do. According to a new release I read on Reuters, they are eyeing mortgage acquisitions in Europe. What will this do for them? One can see immediately that this will offer them expansion in a foreign market. But what will this do for profitability? As Lehman is eyeing this market, I'm sure this is one of the factors they are taking into account. Let's see how long it takes before we find out what move they finally make.
