
I have to write about this for a minute because it seems as if the days of customer service has gone by the waist side. Why do I say that? Have you tried to contact the mortgage company or your mortgage lender and have a hard time reaching a physical person? If not, once they are on the phone are they personable and helpful? When I was talking with the gentleman that does the lawn today, he shared how he was talking with one bank and was requesting a reduced rate. They told him they would not reduce his rate in a “don’t care attitude.” He expressed that other banks were offering reduced rates for customers. This did not phase this certain bank. Why would you want to risk losing a loyal customer over reducing a rate? If the bank reduced their rate, how many additional people would this person tell how he was treated and recommend this particular bank? What are your thoughts?
