As builders are reducing the number of homes being built is the business for home remodelers increasing? I say this because people are not moving up in size of home they cannot afford to. Nor are people moving out of apartments too fast. Therefore, it is repair and remodel time. If it is a repair that can be done in a weekend, then people are probably paying for their repairs in cash. However, if it takes longer than a weekend and is a substantial remodel, then they might seek a home loan or equity line to get the remodel done professionally. Furthermore, if the remodel is something they choose to do and does not take a lot of time, they reduce costs by doing it themselves. Regardless of whether they choose to remodel themselves or hire some to do it, consumer choose wisely even with home remodeling.
