Why do people even shop for a house? I thought about this and came up with a few reasons: 1) Tired of paying rent. Have heard over and over they are just throwing their money away and getting no benefit of ownership. 2) Newlywed and want to have a house of their own versus renting. This is a huge step once you are newly married. I do not know if I would do this right off but some do. 3) If family size has increased such as having some children and they need a bigger place. There are many more reasons why people begin shopping for a house. The bottom line of any of these situations is to make sure they take their time and get a mortgage they can afford.
