Do you realize as a mortgage broker that there are times when mortgages are resold to another loan servicing company? Can you imagine what this does to the consumer, especially if they are not notified! I imagine most times the consumer is notified. However, that does not change the fact that the consumer initially established a relationship with a specific lender. Consumers have specific reasons why they chose a certain lender and to be transferred to another company can be annoying. I suspect that one of the first problems that occurs once dealing with a new company is who are they going to talk to when there is problem with their loan. They have to start over and begin forming a new relationship. This can be a frustrating process.
