There are many associations out there if you are in the mortgage industry, well any industry. Which one do you join? Which one specifically meets what you are looking for in terms of assistance? Now you do not have to choose between National Home Equity Mortgage Association (NHEMA) and Mortgage Bankers Association (MBA), they have merged. Is this an eye opener for anyone in the industry or not? If you belong to MBA, what are the benefits that will now be added to your membership? I went to NHEMA’s website and found that they represent the nonprime mortgage lending industry. In my opinion they are trying to reach all potential homeowners regardless of credit situation. It will be interesting to see how this merger changes their clientele.
