Jobs Decline Even in Real Estate

As I was watching the morning news on Fox over the weekend, they were saying how building homes increases jobs. I could understand that. If that premise is correct, now that builders are having to delay building is there an effect in the job market? I would believe there would be because they no longer need those workers. Those people in that industry now have to rely on another form of income. The same thing would happen in the mortgage industry because there are less houses being built. Some builders have their own mortgage companies in house as well. So they are taking a double hit. If you are in this industry, you might want to think about having an alternate trade you can work in. What are your thoughts?
