Foreclosed Property Investment or Not?

If you are a mortgage broker or lender and someone asked you if investing in a foreclosed property was a good idea, what would your response be? Think about it with all the foreclosed properties on the market, could you specialize in assisting people with funding foreclosed properties? I believe one advantage of this is the properties would be potentially selling for a more affordable price. Furthermore, you should be able to recommend lenders if you are a broker that could offer a better or lower interest rate. If you have a marketing newsletter that you utilize to keep in touch with clients, you could also list this information in your newsletter. This could bring you more clients because a client might know of a friend that is in the market for one of these properties. Make sure you understand the pros and cons of foreclosed property so you  can offer it when the time is right.
