Mortgage brokers, mortgage agents, and mortgage lending

Rhode Island has a new law designed to protect borrowers. The Home Loan Protection Act was signed into law. This protects borrowers from mortgage practices that are considered abusive to the homeowner. Predatory lending has become a real big problem. I remember when I did a survey some time ago, this lady shared with me how that was a huge problem where she lives. The usual people targeted are low-income families, families of color and elders. It is wonderful that they have passed this law in order to help protect these groups of people. It will not protect everyone but at least it is in place.
