
I remember when my mom bought our house and we had one person we dealt with all the time year after year. Those days have changed where you stick with the same lender. The time has come where your mortgage could be sold to another person. One day as you are sorting through your mail, you receive a letter from a new company saying that they are now servicing your loan. The first thing you should do is try to contact the previous lender and verify this to be true. Upon verification, you would begin sending your payments to the new lender. Everything else would pretty much stay the same.
