I could not believe when I read that a broker was forging credit scores. According to an article I read the broker altered borrower applications. Is anyone in the business doing things by the book? There seems to be more scams and unethical practices happening all over the spectrum. It is not just in one state. This broker doctored credit scores over a two year period so people would be able to get mortgages. What is going to happen to those people now, especially since their credit scores might not qualify them for the homes they are in? In my opinion, this person was clearly looking at numbers. I think when you are a broker, realtor or a lender, you should be concerned about the person and what is going to work best for them long term. How many more clients could you have if you treated people with genuine care and not as a number? Word of mouth is the best advertising you can get.
